How much more expensive is the ipod touch compared to a normal ipod and an iphone?

I asked my mom for christmas for an ipod touch but i am worried about it being expensive and because of that my mom said she may not get it for me because of that?

What si the cost difference of the ipod touch in comparison to the normal ipod and the iphone ? Is the ipod touch closer to the cost of the iphone or a normal ipod?

Why do people buy 20G sports cars asking if it will impress the ladies?

P.S. not that i condone buying a car to impress ladies, i drive a bmw 325 myself.. but its only because i love the car and it is like a toy that i can play with everyday to me.
